Members of the OE Cam team worked with Nielsen to transform 17 separate country-specific businesses into one European business. At the time, Nielsen were losing market share with customers demanding more complex, value-added services and pan-European market data. We worked with the Executive committee and HR to create future operating models, one centrally-driven, the other matrix in structure. We defined the new operating model along with supporting processes, roles and accountabilities – this included gradual devolution of power from ExCo to the Area VPs. The outcome was an integrated and more cost-efficient business structure which led to 16% increase in employee satisfaction and a 12% rise in levels of customer satisfaction.
