Gary Ashton is a Partner at OE Cam and leads the Organisation Development practice. With over 25 year’s experience in delivering transformational change, he facilitates senior leadership teams to think through organisational challenges with a particular focus on operating models and power dynamics.
“I have worked with Gary on some particularly complex & sensitive change projects and found him to be one of the best change consultants I have ever known. These projects were in UK, Italy & Turkey and he was well able to adapt to the local culture and to the particular project requirements. He is not only highly skilled technically, but he is an easy person to work with either 1-to-1 or in a team”. (Masoud Golshani-Shirazi, formerly Head of Transformation & Culture Vodafone)
His area of deep expertise is understanding ‘where people meets process’; balancing the hard with the soft elements of organisation development. He draws on this perspective to lead projects such as the re-design and implementation of organisation structures, post-merger integration, cultural change and improvement of joint venture organisation capability. As a Business Psychologist he applies his knowledge of behaviour to also undertake board effectiveness reviews, senior management team assessment & development and is an Executive Coach.
Gary leads the European alliance network Space Consulting and has conducted research into Organisational Agility and Autonomous Teams. He regularly writes for national publications and presents at seminars on organisation change.
