Juggling Competing Forces: when you can’t drop the ball…

Our recent pulse survey, ‘What Keeps Leaders Awake at Night‘ indicates that our leaders are jugglers of competing forces and the juggling seems to have a whole new level of complexity…

For example – balancing delivering efficiency with greater customer service has always been a challenge, but more recently there’s a shift in ‘work:life’ balance, so going the extra mile for customers doesn’t mean the same for everyone. Similarly, leaders have always wrestled with hitting financial targets but perhaps the EDI agenda has amplified the importance of inclusion & individual agency, at a time when the desire is to take control and just tell people what to do!

To illustrate this juggling dilemma, we are delighted to be joined by David Hunt as our guest speaker. David is Chief Operating Officer of Holman, a global leader in automotive and fleet services with more than 9,000 employees across the UK, Germany, USA, Canada and Mexico.

David will share his personal insights from navigating competing forces, and together we will explore how leadership teams could spend their time; get aligned around the priorities and organise for ambiguity.

Over lunch we will also share the results of our survey, helping you to build greater awareness of which challenges to focus on to get a better night’s sleep…
